A woman has been arrested after police discovered a cannabis farm in Gateshead.
Police, including forensics officers, were seen at the scene in Felling on Saturday and Sunday.
Northumbria Police confirmed the force received information about a cannabis farm at a property on The Avenue on Saturday afternoon.
The following day, officers returned to the address to dismantle the farm with photos from the scene showing officers near a skip outside the property while investigations continued.
At the time, a spokesperson for the force said enquiries to identify those responsible were ongoing but they have now made an arrest.
On Monday, a Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: “A 25-year-old woman has been arrested and released on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cannabis.”
