A NHS worker was caught with £14,000 of cannabis in his car after being pulled over by cops for speeding.
Fraser Gow was found with the drug haul after officers detected a “strong smell” of cannabis coming from inside the vehicle.
Gow, 31, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday and admitted being concerned in the supply of the Class B drug.
Fiscal depute Susan Dickson said police spotted a car driven by Gow on the A1 northbound near Tranent, East Lothian, at 5.45pm.
Ms Dickson said the officers believed it may have been exceeding the speed limit.
