Over 230lbs of marijuana, 30 guns and over 12,000 rounds of live ammunition found at an apartment in Midtown.
Memphis Police say the bust was just 200 feet from a middle school and high school on McLean near Madison Avenue.
Neighbors say it’s not the drugs they were concerned about, but the shocking number of guns found.
“I mean…just the fact that you can live so close to people and I have no idea what’s going on,” said neighbor Hope Torkell.
Hope Torkell lives right across from where it all happened. She says she wasn’t home when police searched her neighbor’s apartment, but the number of weapons police found concerns her.
“I’m really not a big gun fan so a little scary to think about it being right there and just like how does someone have that much in an apartment,” said Torkell. “And people don’t know? I guess somebody had to know but I didn’t know as a neighbor.”
