Two people have been arrested and more than €70,000 worth of cannabis was found following a search in Co Galway yesterday.
As part of Operation Tara, gardaí attached to the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit carried out the search under warrant in the Dunmore area and discovered an underground bunker.
Cannabis plants worth €52,800 and cannabis herb valued at €11,500 was seized.
A woman in her 60s and a man in his 30s were both arrested at the scene and are being detained at Galway Divisional Headquarters.
A further €6,000 in cannabis herb was discovered in a follow-up search in Galway city later that evening.
