Marijuana Plant Batch Tagging Implementation Date-Pushed Back to June 2024

FIRM | MARCH 07, 2024

OLCC filed a notice in late February modifying the implementation date of batch plant tagging from April 22, 2024 to June 17, 2024.

“These rules address this need by providing clear requirements that licensees can follow to meet the tracking requirements of ORS 475C.177. A delay in the implementation of tracking multiple plants as a single plant batch for tagging purposes provides time for OLCC to work with the cannabis tracking system vendor to implement batch tagging functionality within the system, licensees to receive training and education on proper use of the new functionality, and sufficient time for licensees to transition plant tag inventory from single-plant to batch tag.”

Public Commentary

There will be a public hearing held regarding these modifications on March 15, 2024 @ 10:00am-11:00am. The last chance to offer comments to the OLCC on this matter is March 31, 2024 by 12:00pm.
