Larry Villani and his wife, Yvonne, were beaming on Wednesday as they walked off the concert hall stage in the back of Grounded Coffee near Perryville after meeting actor Jim Belushi, who has appeared in more than 90 movies and 60 television shows since the late 1970s.
“I told him that my family has been watching your family for almost 50 years,” Larry said, referring mainly to Belushi’s work as an actor, comedian and musician in the entertainment industry and that of his late brother, John Belushi, who was one of the original seven “Saturday Night Live” cast members before starring in “Animal House,” “The Blue Brothers” and other movies.
As for the North East couple’s brief interaction with Belushi, Yvonne summarized, “He’’s a very laid-back, nice person.”
