In a bid to rid Pakistan of the curse of drugs, the Government and Military Leadership have launched a nationwide anti-narcotics operation.
During the operation, which took place from April 28 to May 5, relevant agencies seized above one million kilograms of narcotics and arrested 1,352 drug peddlers across the country.
In Balochistan, 2,799 kilograms of narcotics were recovered, including 2,194 kilograms of Hashish, 14 kilograms of Heroin, 7 kilograms of Opium, 3 kilograms of Methamphetamine, and 581 kilograms of other drugs.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 20 kilograms of narcotics were seized, including 10 kilograms of hashish and 10 kilograms of other drugs.
The relevant agencies are determined to continue their operations to completely rid the country of narcotics. The Government and security forces are committed to eradicating the menace of drugs from Pakistan.
