Australia: Launching our new research: community views on cannabis

They write

As part of our ongoing efforts to advocate for sensible drug policy reform in Australia, we are excited to announce the launch of our latest research on community views towards cannabis regulation.

This research, which has already received widespread media coverage, found that fifty-four percent (54%) of Victorians are now rallying behind the introduction of a regulated cannabis market for adult use. This is almost twice as many people as oppose a change and is the highest level of support for regulation over criminalisation seen in an independent survey.

The community understand that it is time to act and push for careful regulation that will draw consumers away from uncontrolled products in the criminal market to safe, regulated products, while prioritising community health and safety. COMMUNITY VIEWS ON CANNABIS RESEARCH

This research serves as a powerful tool to engage the community, inform policymakers, and drive meaningful change.

I invite you to explore the findings of this research and share them with your network. We are especially interested in hearing from members of the community who have had first hand experience with the cannabis under the current criminal model who are willing to share their story.
