Kentucky: Paducah man is facing charges after police say he tried to sell cannabis to undercover detectives.

Ky. (KFVS) – A Paducah man is facing charges after police say he tried to sell marijuana to undercover detectives.

According to the Paducah Police Department, on Monday, June 3, the department’s drug unit learned 18-year-old Quanterance J. Matchem was selling marijuana in the area. They also discovered he had an active arrest warrant for first-degree robbery out of Graves County.

Detectives arranged to purchase marijuana from Matchem undercover. They found him at N. 10th Street and Ellis, but he ran away.

According to the police department, the detectives were able to catch Matchem, who was found with a stolen 9mm handgun in his possession. They also found approximately 57 grams of marijuana during the incident.

Matchem was arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
