Hong Kong police have arrested a 24-year-old man after finding HK$1.41 million (US$180,480) worth of illegal drugs in a New Territories flat that was allegedly used for the production of crack cocaine.
The force said on Thursday officers intercepted the suspect outside the flat on Chong San Road in Tai Po the day before and seized five bottles containing 29 grams (one ounce) of suspected cannabidiol oil.
“Inside the premises, officers seized 519 grams of what appeared to be crack cocaine and 1kg of suspected cocaine, along with drugmaking paraphernalia such as an induction cooker, cooking utensils and electronic scales,” a police spokesman said.
