Nearly three years after the initial appointments in late summer 2021, the NYS Cannabis Control Board will vote on rules to govern itself at its August 6th meeting tomorrow morning.
The enactment of Bylaws at the Board level is step in the right direction for ensuring stability and standard operating procedures in the New York marketplace so that operators, stakeholders, and regulators alike are empowered to succeed.
While these Bylaws are very high-level and largely a simple mirror of the language embedded in the Cannabis Law together with best practices for public meetings of regulatory bodies generally, I applaud the board for its transparency and accountability.
