Another Aging American Celebrity Who Thinks That Smoking Weed in Countries Where It Is Illegal Is Neither Here Nor There

Fisrt up , like most people I think it is madness not to legalise and regulate cannabis in the UK is plain stupidity.

But at the same time these are the laws of one country compared to another and just because you are an aging celebrity rapper who gets paid far too much money doesn’t mean a modicum of common sense and good manners shouldn’t go amiss.

The Daily Mail

American rapper and Olympic sideline reporter Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. has been accused of using a Class B drug in London, which is to say that Snoop Dogg smoked some weed.

While that’s hardly news in America, where marijuana is legalized depending on your location, it is an issue in the United Kingdom, where cannabis use carries a sentence of up to five years in prison and an undisclosed fine.

Snoop and his guests allegedly stunk up the Mandarin Hotel south of Hyde Park in London, where several Muslim guests ‘went ballistic’ over the powerful aroma wafting through the century-old building, according to Radar Online.

Although the Quran does not forbid marijuana, many major Shia and Sunni scholars have likened it to khamr (intoxicants or an alcoholic drink) and have banned the drug as a result.

‘Snoop doesn’t let anything stop his daily doses of weed – not even Britain’s laws,’ one source said of the 52-year-old rapper and former gang member.
