The Cannabis Control Commission will offer the executive director position to Travis Ahearn, Holliston’s town manager, commissioners said in a Wednesday meeting, after its first choice turned down the job.
Ahern was among four finalists to interview publicly for the executive director role in October.

His work background shows a lot of experience in financial management which is a major plus, the question is is he ready for the topsy turvey world of cannabis politics and an internally dysfunctional organisation in terms of office politics. He’ll have to crack some heads without stepping on toes at the body which willbe a big challenge.
