Portland, OR — The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) is issuing product recalls for batches of cannabis that tested positive for IMIDACLOPRID (pesticide) at a concentration of 3.8ppm. The issue was identified by the OLCC audit testing using the Oregon Department of Agriculture’s Cannabis Reference Laboratory. This testing was completed and confirmed on 12/23/2024. This marijuana flower batch was sold by three different recreational marijuana retailers – one in Salem and two in Portland – to consumers starting in July of 2024.
The OLCC is utilizing the state’s Cannabis Tracking System (CTS) to identify affected inventory and issue notices to retailers and other licensees to halt further distribution and sale. The product should not be sold or consumed.

Consumers who purchased the recalled product are encouraged to destroy them. The OLCC has not received any health-related complaints from the use of the recalled product. OLCC staff is continuing to work with retailer licensees to remove the products from being offered for sale. An investigation is ongoing to determine what caused the product to be transferred and sold to consumers.
