Two Macomb County school officials are facing charges after they were caught smoking marijuana inside a car within a 1,000 feet of a school, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.
Warren Schools Superintendent Hollie Stange was charged with possessing marijuana on school property, possessing a weapon in a school zone and operating while intoxicated
Warren Schools Food Services Director Amanda Carroll was charged with possessing marijuana on school grounds, second-offense operating while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with an occupant less than 16 years old.
They were both placed in jail and given a $5,000 bond. Their next court date was scheduled for Monday.
Bond conditions include no contact with the school or school grounds unless directed to do so by the school board or for child pickup. They are also not allowed to use alcohol or drugs and they will be randomly tested twice a week.
