The German Cannabis Business Association write in their latest newsletter
2025-01-10 | Three cannabis cultivation clubs from southwest Germany have filed a lawsuit against official requirements. A central point of contention is the mandatory on-call duty for inspection visits: Monday to Friday, a club member is supposed to be on site within 30 minutes between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to the Staatsanzeiger. A compromise proposal by the regional council to reduce this obligation to two fixed days was rejected by the associations as insufficient.
Another conflict concerns the limitation of board members’ salaries to marginal employment. The regional council justifies this with the preservation of the non-commercial character of the cultivation clubs, in order to ensure that the members are actively involved in community cultivation.
