Press Release: Governor Newsom offers fee relief to licensees affected by the Los Angeles fires

On January 29, 2025, Governor Gavin Newsom issued an executive order outlining resources and relief as part of ongoing actions to support workers and businesses impacted by the Los Angeles Fire. The order provides a one-year fee deferral to Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) license holders that have fees due before July 1, 2025, and whose premises are located in the following zip codes: 90041, 90049, 90265, 90272, 90290, 90402, 91001, 91024, 91103, 91104, 91107, 91367, and 93536.

License holders eligible for the fee deferrals established by the executive order will be contacted directly by DCC and do not need to apply for the deferral. Any license holder impacted by wildfires can continue to request disaster relief from DCC. To request disaster relief, visit DCC’s Disaster Relief Programs webpage.
