Common Sense From Law360 via Weedweek On Re-Scheduling

Anybody who has read my other online rag. www.practicesource.com will know that I am no fan of Lexis Nexis and not overly crazy about its news arm Law360 although that’s not the fault of their writers who in the main seem to be a decent bunch of people.

So it is interesting today to see that one of the few outlets that appears to have a grasp on the delay of the re-scheduling are the aforesaid outfit.

Whilst the industry and cannabis commentators scrabble for excuses and I presume some of them earn their crust by being eternally optimistic even as the meteor of chaos hurls towards them.

This Independence day clip comes to mind … “it’s so pretty………argghhhh etc”

Anyway.. back to commonsense

Trump’s administration is not shaping up to be as 420-friendly as many in the industry had hoped.

Law360 veteran cannabiz journo Sam Reisman writes:

“The cannabis legal and business world was divided after a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration judge hit pause on widely anticipated and historic public hearings on the merits of a proposal to loosen federal restrictions on marijuana.

“While some participants and observers cited allegations of interference and bias on the part of the DEA as justification for a postponement and interlocutory appeal, other stakeholders said the delay would serve only to keep marijuana in the most strictly controlled tier of the Controlled Substances Act.”
