According to documents filed on January 21st, the DOR is seeking to enter Rebelle Dispensary, located at 783 South Main Street, to seize property and items in the business to use as payment for Massachusetts sales tax and Marijuana Retail tax owed. That order was approved on January 27th by Superior Court judge Robert Gordon.

Rebelle Dispensary is owned by Community Growth Partners Great Barrington Operations, LLC.

The DOR says in the filing that they have tried multiple times to collect the monies, but say that the business has not responded and refused or neglected payment, and has not made any effort to work out a payment plan. Liens were placed on the business’ bank accounts but DOR was not successful in collection. In addition to the taxes owed, interest and penalties have also accrued.
