CBP Seizes $400K in Cocaine at Mission’s Anzalduas Bridge

Officers discovered 34 pounds of cocaine hidden in a Ford SUV crossing from Mexico; Homeland Security leads investigation.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers seized over $400,000 worth of cocaine at the Anzalduas International Bridge in Mission, Texas on March 25th.

The discovery was made when a white Ford SUV attempting to cross into the U.S. from Mexico was referred for further inspection.

During the secondary search, CBP officers uncovered 14 packages of cocaine, weighing more than 34 pounds.

Vehicle and Narcotics Seized

CBP immediately seized the vehicle and the narcotics, initiating a criminal investigation. The case has been turned over to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for further review.

This interception is part of CBP’s ongoing effort to combat drug smuggling at ports of entry along the U.S.–Mexico border.
