Matt Hawkins is the founder and managing principal of Cresco Capital Partners, LLC (“Cresco”), a private equity firm focused specifically on investing in the legalized cannabis industry. Since its inception in the summer of 2015, Cresco has made 14 investments out of its first fund and is currently raising this fund, Fund II.
Matt Hawkins has been a private equity professional for more than 20 years, and has been in the cannabis space investing since 2015. Having raised two funds for the industry, he’s deployed over $30 million in 26 different investments. Currently he’s raised $15 of the $50 million for the second fund Hawkins is working on. He and his four partners in the fund have the experience it takes to aid with investing in cannabis.
