An event set to gather hundreds of pro-cannabis campaigners in Glasgow Green has been postponed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Reports local media
Every year, groups of people head out out the the park on April 20th for the ‘420 Hempstock’ celebration.
After initially launching in George Square, despite council approval, the group later moved to Glasgow Green.
Bands and stalls were set to take to the Green, with previous years promsing “hemp food, CBD, dabbs, stalls, banter and speeches”.
Despite laws, they previously have then smoked the class B at 4.20pm.
But organisers have since confirmed they have had to postpone the event due the lockdown.
They posted on a Facebook page for the event: “Due to Covid-19 we have decided to postpone this event until further notice.
“We anticipate that in the coming weeks we will have a better understanding of the outbreak and advice for public gatherings.
“We will aim to reconvene this day when it is not a public safety issue.
