EMERALD TRIANGLE, CA – Sun+Earth Certified, the leading nonprofit certification for regenerative organic cannabis, has partnered with Oakland-based cannabis brand Chemistry for Project Fusion, a new line of Sun+Earth-sourced single origin, live resin infused pre-rolls, under the banner “Cannabis for a Cause.”
Chemistry will donate one percent of its profits from Project Fusion to Sun+Earth Certified to support the expansion of regenerative organic cannabis farming.
“We’re honored Chemistry has selected Sun+Earth Certified to be part of Project Fusion and their Cannabis for a Cause campaign,” said Sun+Earth Executive Director Andrew Black. “This will help us educate more cannabis consumers about regenerative organic farming and expand our work of certifying more farms across the country.”
Sun+Earth was founded on Earth Day 2019 by cannabis industry leaders, experts, and advocates with a common commitment to regenerative organic agriculture, farm-worker protections, and community engagement. In less than two years, Sun+Earth has certified 42 cannabis farms in six states—California, Colorado, Michigan, Oregon, Washington, and Wisconsin—whose products are sold at hundreds of retail outlets. “In these times, we recognize that it’s not enough for us to just release a new line of products,” said Catrina Morbidelli of Chemistry. “We feel a huge responsibility to continue to give back to our community in ways that are meaningful to us.”
Chemistry is dedicated to sun-grown cannabis and minimizing its environmental impact. The brand uses no additives or adulterants in its products, and all Chemistry products are sourced from outdoor farms in California, many of which are Sun+Earth Certified, including Moon Made Farms, Radicle Herbs, Briceland Forest Farm, and Sonoma Hills Farm.
Chemistry’s Project Fusion pre-rolls are made with single cultivar, full-spectrum cannabis from small batches of whole flower grown by Sun+Earth Certified farmers. Project Fusion products are available at retail outlets across California, including Cookies San Bernardino, Doobie Nights, ELEVATION 2477, Mercy Wellness, Metro Cannabis Collective, Solful, TreeHouse, and 365 Recreational Cannabis. The vast majority of cannabis products currently sold in the United States present no on-package labeling that explains how products were grown. Sun+Earth offers consumers confidence in the knowledge that their Sun+Earth Certified products were cultivated in a regenerative organic model, under the sun, in the ground, without chemical fertilizers or toxic pesticides, and with minimal electricity.
