It will be alleged that about 5.45pm on Saturday 28 December, police were conducting random searches outside Ellis Park, when Police Dog Neve and her handler stopped a man suspected of being possession of drugs.
A search uncovered 42 ecstasy capsules in plastic resealable bags.
Police then went to the suspect’s Mansfield Park home and searched the property, locating $16360 in cash, two knuckle dusters and an amount of cocaine.
A city apartment that the man was staying at was also searched by police, where they located more cocaine, cannabis and cash.
The 23-year-old Mansfield Park man was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug and possess prohibited weapon.
He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 12 March 2025.
