Alaska: AMCO Consumer Advisory: Recall of Marijuana Concentrate and other Marijuana Products

Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) – The Alcohol and Marijuana Control Office (AMCO) has seized marijuana concentrate and related products manufactured at Will’s World Extract, a marijuana concentrate manufacturing facility located in Palmer.

As part of its administrative enforcement action, AMCO has also placed an administrative hold on all Will’s World marijuana concentrates and related products at licensed retail stores.

This action is a result of AMCO collecting substantiated evidence of unregistered and unlicensed THC concentrates being inverted into the legal market at this facility.

The concentrate was shipped from another state to Alaska for processing.

“This hold is placed to ensure there is no immediate threat to public health, safety, or welfare,” said AMCO Director, Joan Wilson. “We are advising consumers of marijuana and marijuana products to review concentrates and infused joints in their possession for the Will’s World label or reference Will’s World Extract in their product. AMCO’s top priority is ensuring the safety of products available.”

Consumers should return these products to the licensed store where they were acquired. If you are unsure whether your products are affected, please contact the licensed retail store where they were purchased.

Any licensee whose products are subject to administrative hold or seizure has rights to due process that permit a licensee an opportunity to be heard and request further review of any adverse decision.
