Alert: Disaster relief available to licensees impacted by wildfire

 

Licensees impacted by wildfires can request disaster relief from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC).

Licensees facing an immediate wildfire threat do not need to contact DCC before moving cannabis or cannabis products.  Products must be moved to a secure location where access is restricted to the licensee and the licensee’s employees and contractors.

What should licensees impacted by wildfire do after moving their cannabis or cannabis products to a secure location?

Within 24 hours of moving the cannabis or cannabis products, licensees must:

  • Email DisasterRelief@cannabis.ca.gov to notify DCC that the cannabis or cannabis products have been moved,
  • Disclose the location where the cannabis or cannabis products have been moved to, and
  • Upon request, allow DCC staff to access and inspect the location.
