We’re hiring!

The Cannabis Control Board is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our collaborative and dedicated team in the role of a CCB Compliance & Enforcement Agent I. This position is open for applicants preferably located in the vicinity of Rutland County as it has a significant required travel component in that general geographical area.

This role will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with Vermont’s cannabis rules and statues in support of the overall mission and vision of the Board. The position combines both administrative tasks and hands-on field work. Main functions include reviewing and acting on product registration submissions, responding to licensee’s inquiries about the product registration process, conducting site inspections, and assisting with compliance investigations.

Reminder: Upcoming Retail and Tier 2 Cultivation Licensing Pause

The CCB would like to remind those with applications in progress for new retail and tier 2 cultivation licenses of the upcoming deadlines for the licensing pause.

At its September meeting, the Board voted to pause new licenses for retail and tier 2 cultivation. Read the full news release here.

Upcoming deadlines

Retail applications:

  • Deadline for retail applications: Oct. 25, 2024.
  • Retail applicants have until Nov. 15 to complete all requirements.

Cultivation applications:

  • Deadline for new for Tier 2 indoor applications: Oct. 25, 2024.
  • Tier 1 indoor will remain open.
  • Tier 1 outdoor and mixed applications are in seasonal closure and will reopen in November as planned.
  • Tier 2 outdoor and mixed applications are in seasonal closure and will not reopen in November.

October Board meeting application deadline

The deadline to be included on the register for the October Board Meeting is October 22, 2024.

In order to be ready for approval at the Board meeting, an applicant must:

  • Have fully completed their application
  • Received a certificate of occupancy from fire safety (when necessary), and
  • Have passed their initial compliance site review by the CCB.
