Alert: Oregon Psilocybin Services – Rules Advisory Committee (RAC) applications due July 28, 2023

Oregon Psilocybin Services is seeking participants to serve on Rules Advisory Committees (RACs) in September 2023. RAC members provide input on proposed administrative rules before they become effective and are an important part of the rulemaking process. RACs are comprised of individuals who have subject matter expertise, lived experience and who are likely to be affected by the proposed rules. The RAC process is designed to include a diversity of opinions and viewpoints. In addition to providing recommendations, RACs evaluate fiscal and racial impact of the proposed rules.

Oregon Psilocybin Services will convene two RACs to discuss proposed rules on the following: (1) minor adjustments and technical fixes to rules adopted in 2022, and (2) implementation of Senate Bill 303, which was passed in the 2023 Legislative Session. The Senate Bill 303 RAC will focus on adopting rules to implement new legislation that requires service centers to collect and report client data related to psilocybin services. Each RAC will meet 2-3 times between September 13, 2023 and September 25, 2023. Meetings will be scheduled by the end of August 2023.
