Alert: Required training for retail licensees and employees

State law (7 V.S.A. 865(a)) requires that “A licensee shall complete an enforcement seminar every three years conducted by the Board. A license shall not be renewed unless the records of the Board show that the licensee has complied with the terms of this subsection.”

In CCB Rule 2.2.5(a), we further defined that the requirement applies to “anyone who is an employee of the establishment, who works at the establishment, or who plays a significant operational role within the licensee, including members of the licensee’s board of directors or similar governing body.”

We understand that trying to coordinate a live training that works for everyone’s schedule is unlikely, so we’ve been working on a series of training videos meant to be completed at your own pace. We’ve just launched the latest video for retail licensees and employees.

The subject of this 24-minute video is retail establishment inspections and health safety and sanitation. Each person who needs credit should complete the quiz that is linked at the end of the video through a QR code.

If any retail licensees or employees have questions, please reach out to CCB staff at [email protected]
