Alert: Applications for the Cannabis Control Commission’s Social Equity Program open on February 5.

The Social Equity Program (SEP) is a free, statewide technical assistance and training program that creates sustainable pathways into the cannabis industry for individuals most impacted by the War on Drugs.

Program participants can choose from four training tracks: Entrepreneur, Core, Entry, and Ancillary – each designed to meet a specific interest in the cannabis industry, skill set, and/or desired outcome. If your application is approved, you become eligible to jump the state’s licensing queue, receive certain fee waivers, get exclusive access to delivery and social consumption licenses, and more.

Social Equity Program Tracks: Entrepreneur, Core, Entry, and Ancillary
  • Entrepreneur Track: designed for SEP Participants seeking Marijuana Establishment (ME) licensure. The track prepares participants to apply for, own, and support an ME.
  • Core Track: designed for SEP Participants seeking managerial and executive-level careers working for an ME.
  • Entry Track: designed for SEP Participants who are interested in re-entering the workforce following incarceration, and/or individuals who are interested in entry-level careers within an ME with little or no experience.
  • Ancillary Track: designed for SEP participants who have skills or businesses that would support the cannabis industry but are not seeking licensure or employment within an ME.

If you are eligible to participate in the program, you will need to provide some documentation to verify your eligibility at the time of submitting your application.
