The use of the phrase “moral hazard” is a bit rich coming from a newspaper who won’t say the same thing about alcohol or gambling but for entirelly different reasons I agree that payment per prescription or paying doctors up to $AUD40K a month as one job ad recently offered is quire simply not the way to operate a medical cannabis program.
The Australian will plump for a highly restricted medical program which will, without a doubt, create an ever larger black market.
How about a blanced market as the Greens suggest balancing regulated medical and adult use , but that won’t happen in “Australian” land as they are still of the thinking that calling the Greens, Marxists, is clever.
Rocky year for cannabis in Australia in 2025 as a Federal election looms and it makes the perfect political football to kick as hard as possible.. sigh!
