LAS VEGAS, December 19, 2023 – Tisha R. Black Esq., founding partner of Black & Wadhams Attorneys at Law, was elected to the Nevada Cannabis Association Board of Directors beginning in January 2024.
Ms. Black has been an active participant and attorney in the Nevada marijuana industry since 2014. She also represents cannabis clients in California, Missouri, Mississippi, Louisiana and Arizona. She is a founding member and former president of the Nevada Dispensary Association and ushered the transformation to the Nevada Cannabis Association with the addition of cultivation, production, and distribution licensees to the association’s membership. She is also a board member of Nevada Made Marijuana.
Ms. Black was recently named to the 4th Edition of the Global Top 200 Cannabis Lawyers 2023 – 2024 published by Cannabis Law Report & Cannabis Law Journal and has been a part of that elite group since 2021. She was named to the 30th edition of The Best Lawyers in America® 2024 list in Las Vegas for her expertise in cannabis law, among other areas.
Ms. Black also teaches courses in cannabis law, representation, licensure, taxation and compliance to attorneys, cannabis businesses and other stakeholders. She is a founding member and current Vice Chair of the Cannabis Law Section of the Nevada State Bar for attorneys representing hemp and marijuana establishment businesses.
