The Natural Medicine Division (NMD) team is actively reviewing applications and preparing to begin issuing licenses. Please remember, we are a small but mighty staff so we appreciate your patience with us!
We’ve prepared some tools to help you with the application process. Please take a look at the Natural Medicine Division resources page, where you can find:
- Licensed Premises checklist – make sure your location will work for your business.
- ESG guide – some ideas for you to help create your required ESG plan.
- Security checklist – helps you make sure your location meets our security rules.
As you prepare your application materials, please keep the following in mind:
>Applications must be complete, including payment, before the Division will accept and begin processing the application.
>If you’re applying for a business license, please remember to submit:
- Organizational documents, including organizational charts;
- Certificate of Good Standing;
- Facility Diagram;
- Your ESG Plan;
- Proof of possession of the licensed premises; we need the business’s physical location listed;
- Information demonstrating compliance with local zoning requirements; and
- For Healing Centers, unless the owner of the Healing Center is also a licensed Facilitator, please include information demonstrating the Applicant will employ or contract with at least one licensed Facilitator
>Business applications need to identify a complete ownership structure (100%), identifying all owners who have either obtained an owner license, or are simultaneously applying for an owner license for the business.
- For funding sources – we need to know who will be investing in the business.
>The Division will not issue natural medicine business licenses to private residences.
We encourage you to submit your application online. If you prefer to schedule an in-person appointment to submit your application, please go to our online appointment schedule system to sign up for an appointment.
There are limited appointment slots for in-person assistance at our Lakewood office from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays.
