The Natural Medicine Division is sharing the information below on behalf of our partners at the Department of Regulatory Affairs (DORA), who are tasked with establishing a Federally Recognized American Tribes and Indigenous Community Working Group.

Applications are now open to join the Federally Recognized American Tribes and Indigenous Community Working Group at the Natural Medicine Program of the Division of Professions and Occupations at the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.

The Working Group’s primary goal is to foster dialogue and address concerns related to the commercialization of natural medicine, products, and services within tribal and indigenous communities. Working Group Members will work to study and advise the Natural Medicine Program on the impacts on Tribal and Indigenous Communities in Colorado.

The Working Group will host monthly meetings over the next year to discuss the subjects outlined in C.R.S. 12-170-107 with the goal of submitting their work to the Natural Medicine Program at DORA by the end of 2024.

The application is to express general interest in participating as a member of the Working Group in 2024. Selection for Working Group membership will require an interview process.

Please share this application with anyone who may be interested. The application is open until Jan. 26, 2024.

If you have additional questions, please send them via email to dora_natural_medicine@state.co.us.
