New South Wales police have accidentally uncovered an elaborate cannabis set-up in a Sydney home
Police were responding to a call for assistance at Costata Circut, Voyager Point near Liverpool, about 10pm yesterday due to concerns for the welfare of a teenage girl.
Officers entered a home through the garage door and unexpectedly walked in to find an extensive hydroponic set-up.
Rooms in the home were filled with more than 200 cannabis plants in various stages of maturity.
Police arrested a man at the scene and he was taken to Liverpool Police Station.
A crime scene has been established at the home.
An investigation is underway into the identities of the people involved in the cultivation of the cannabis crop.
