These will soon be deployed in the field, reports Tagesschau. The effects of the partial legalization of cannabis on road traffic are still unclear. From April 1 to August 21, 203 fine proceedings were initiated for driving under the influence of THC, but there are no comparative figures from the past. The prosecution of administrative offenses in connection with the Cannabis Consumption Act is currently suspended. The reason for this is a lack of responsibility regulations, work processes and a catalog of fines. Violations of consumption bans for the protection of young people and health can therefore not currently be punished.
