A cannabis company wants an Arizona federal court to rule its “Dutchie” trademark doesn’t infringe the mark of its provider of marijuana dispensary software.
AC Management Group claimed its rights to “Dutchie” predate Courier Plus Inc.’s, Courier waited too long to object, and their products differ enough to avoid consumer confusion. The complaint, filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Arizona, said Courier—which operates as Dutchie—threatened to sue and terminate AC’s subscription to its dispensary software platform if AC didn’t stop infringing.
