California: Police seize LSD, 2 pounds of mushrooms, cannabis and significant amount of money in Antioch

Police seized a large quantity of LSD, mushrooms, cannabis and a “significant amount of money” inside an 18-year-old man’s apartment in Antioch, officials said.

The Antioch Police Department received a call of a disturbance around 7:45 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Drom Court in Antioch.

Officers had contact during the investigation with an 18-year-old Antioch resident, identified as David Bonnes III.

While investigating the disturbance complaint, responding officers saw a large quantity of narcotics inside the apartment.

The Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group assisted and a search warrant was obtained and executed.

During the search, police seized 160 hits of LSD, more than two pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, approximately one pound of cannabis, a significant amount of money and materials suspected of being used for the packaging and sale of narcotics.

Bonnes has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, one count of unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and one count of disorderly conduct.
