Canada: Cambridge man among five charged after police seize $2 million worth of cannabis, firearms and a stolen vehicle

OXFORD COUNTY — A Cambridge man was one of five people charged after police seized $2 million worth of cannabis, firearms and stolen property.

Ontario Provincial Police officers searched an address on Oxford Road 29 in Blandford-Blenheim Township, near Drumbo, on Tuesday. Officers report finding firearms, a stolen vehicle, 1,300 cannabis plants, 300 pounds of processed cannabis, and a quantity of suspected cocaine, hashish and cannabis resin.

A Cambridge man, 23, was charged with cultivating cannabis and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

Four other people, ranging in age from 31 to 62, were also charged. Two are from Drumbo, one from Mississauga and one from Markham. Charges include possession of property obtained by crime and using an organic solvent to alter the chemical or physical properties of cannabis.
