Cannabis Consulting Leaders Merge: GPS Global And Gordon Cannabis Group Forge A Powerful Partnership

GPS Global (GPS) and Gordon Cannabis Group (GCG) will announce a merger that combines the powerhouse consulting firms into a single, unified entity, Benzinga Cannabis has learned exclusively. With this merger, GPS Global continues to expand its international reach and expertise, marking its fourth acquisition in just three years. The agreement also paves the way for industry veterans Tim Gordon and Blake Luvon, co-founders and owners of Gordon Cannabis Group, to join the leadership ranks at GPS.

The merger promises to optimize high-quality service opportunities for the global cannabis marketplace, drawing on the experience and innovation of both Gordon and Luvon. As part of the agreement, Gordon will join the Board of Directors and assume the role of president, allowing GPS co-founder Bob Hoban and former GPS president to focus on activities with the Board of Directors. Luvon, meanwhile, will step into the role of executive vice president of marketing and technology innovation.

Chris Day, CEO of GPS, expressed his enthusiasm for the merger, stating, “This agreement is a natural fit for the next phase of growth for GPS, expanding our ability to advance the goals of clients all around the world.” He added that partnering with “such innovative industry veterans” would help “deepen and expand the ecosystem of services” for clients across the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

The coming months will see Gordon Cannabis Group working closely with existing clients to ensure a seamless transition to GPS services. Already a force to be reckoned with in the global cannabis consulting arena, GPS operates four global offices and has advised 39 countries on successful strategies for launch, cultivation, regulatory advice, strategic partnerships, product development, and M&A.

“Our long history of collaboration with GPS shows we already have a proven track record of successful projects, so it’s a natural next move for us to join forces,” said Tim Gordon, CEO and founder of Gordon Cannabis Group. “Together, we are well-positioned to have a real impact on the rapidly evolving global cannabis and hemp landscape.”

Gordon is a renowned figure in the cannabis industry, boasting nearly 30 years of experience cultivating highly optimized strains. As one of the world’s leading authorities on cannabis genetics and medicinal hemp, he has also served as a Director of NORML in Colorado and other industry trade organizations. Luvon, on the other hand, brings 25 years of diverse business innovation across various sectors, having helped companies earn hundreds of millions of dollars collectively.

This merger not only strengthens GPS’s position as a leader in the global cannabis consulting sphere but also opens up new pathways for the company to support the development of cannabis as an economic accelerator. As GPS continues to work with companies, well-capitalized individuals, and governments worldwide, the combined expertise of these two industry giants is poised to drive the cannabis industry into its next phase of growth and innovation.
