Job Description:

The Track & Trace Manager (TTM) is responsible for complete traceability compliance by maintaining inventory and facility information accuracy within the State of California track and trace system (METRC) and supervising Track & Trace Employees (TTEs) in each department. A TTM must be able to focus on multiple tasks without getting distracted and be very detail and process oriented. Also, a TTM must be comfortable giving direction and leading teams of TTEs while executing their Track & Trace duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining full compliance by properly directing the TTEs in their compliance related tasks, and establishing, implementing, and supervising best practice procedures and workflows that the TTEs will follow.
  • Gaining and maintaining a full understanding of current and proposed California cannabis laws, rules, regulations
  • Becoming fully proficient in and executing all METRC and 3rd Party traceability software functions and act as a Traceability Administrator
  • Preparing and participating in the weekly Operations meeting
  • Populate agenda
  • Communicate progress and execution on T&T “action items”
  • Communicating and implementing direction from supervisors to the T&T department and personnel
  • Execute “action items” efficiently
  • Supervising TTEs
  • Coordinating and conducting regular meetings to review and hone practices and procedures
  • Coordinating and conducting employee performance and compensation reviews 2x/year; one in April and one in August
  • Set goals and follow up on progress
  • Work with a budget to determine proper compensation and bonuses for TTE based on their performance and achieving set goals
  • Manage TTE to achieve best work efficiency/demand and employee satisfaction balance and effectively manage and balance their expectations
  • Delegate tasks to TTE and hold personnel accountable for completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Evaluate current and future needs of the T&T department and communicate them to the Dir. of T&T and/or Accounting

Qualifications:

  • Preferred
  • Familiarity with METRC
  • 1 Year of processing experience
  • 1 Year of supervisory experience
  • Required
  • Possess and maintain a professional attitude and demeanor
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to stand, sit, or kneel for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Must be 21 or over
