SANTA TERESA, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers seized over $1.5 million worth of drugs from coming into the country.
CBP officers at the Santa Teresa port of entry prevented two separate smuggling attempts of methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl.
On Monday, CBP officers found 27 pounds of cocaine and 5.5 pounds of fentanyl hidden inside an SUV driving into the U.S. from Mexico.
