The operation, which involved the distribution of at least 11 types of narcotics—including pink and white cocaine, MDMA, LSD, and cannabis oil—was dismantled by Greek authorities in a coordinated police raid on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Three men, all aged 31, were arrested in the southeastern Attica suburbs of Vari and Glyfada. Two of the suspects are Greek nationals, while the third hails from a North African country. The trio, linked to affluent and influential families, allegedly used their social standing and resources to orchestrate a highly organised drug network. One suspect was apprehended while transporting illicit substances in a backpack, authorities confirmed.
High-Profile Connections and Ingenious Methods
The alleged ringleader is the son of a prominent businessman active in the shipping and ship supply industries. The second suspect, of North African descent, reportedly handled the distribution and packaging of the drugs, cleverly concealing them inside juice cartons, as well as oil and vinegar bottles. The third, the son of a well-known doctor with television appearances, is accused of providing his residence as a storage hub for the narcotics, according to the Hellenic Police (EL.AS).
