Commission Extends Application Deadline for Cohort 3 of the Social Equity Program

The Cannabis Control Commission (Commission) has extended the application deadline for the third cohort of its Social Equity Program (SEP) until Monday, November 15.

The free, statewide technical assistance and training program provides individuals from communities that have been disproportionately impacted by the War on Drugs with education, skill-based training, and tools for success in the legal cannabis industry.

Join a network of more than 400 Participants with access to benefits that aim to assist them on the path to owning, managing, working for, or alongside licensed marijuana businesses in the Commonwealth.

Entrepreneur, Ancillary, Entry, and Core tracks available.
Approved SEP Participants become automatically eligible for fee waivers, Commission pre-certification, and exclusive opportunities to apply for certain license types. Course content from previous cohorts is immediately available to approved Cohort Three Participants, prior to the start of their programming in the coming months.

Commission staff will continue to review previously submitted applications on a rolling basis. To start your application, visit the agency’s online Massachusetts Cannabis Industry Portal (MassCIP) at MassCIPortal.comand create an account.

The Commission offers resources to help applicants understand program criteria, requirements, and benefits, and to navigate MassCIP, including an SEP FAQ page and MassCIP tutorials.
