Delaware Daycare Operators Arrested After Police Raid Finds Guns, Cocaine, Heroin, Thousands in Cash

Two people have been arrested after police in Delaware raided a daycare center and found drugs, firearms and thousands of dollars in cash, according to authorities.

Dover Police Department’s Drugs, Vice and Organized Crime unit members raided the daycare, which operated under the name The Little Peoples LFCC 2 and also served as a home, in Dover, police said Friday in a news release. Two people, 33-year-old Cameron Christmas and Jessica Cooper, 29, now face charges.

Four children were being taken care of at the daycare when the raid occurred and “were turned over to their guardians,” officials said.

Court documents say that Christmas admitted after his arrest that he had been dealing drugs out of the home, the Delaware News Journal reported. Christmas was not there at the time of the raid, but Cooper, who is registered as the day care’s official agent, was present, according to police.
