A Florida man was sentenced on Monday for trafficking cocaine through Connecticut while in jail, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Connecticut said.
According to court documents, Reinaldo Colon Oliveras, a 38-year-old man from Kissimmee, Fla., used a smuggled cellphone while in prison in Atlanta, Ga., during the summer of 2021 to arrange cocaine shipments to Landdy Rodriguez of Waterbury and Thomas Marra of Ansonia. Rodriguez and Marra further distributed the drug to a networks of associates, according to court documents.
