An Iowa Falls police officer was placed on leave for leaving marijuana in a school classroom.
Police Chief Josh Nelson says Officer Blake Munro was training a K-9 at Riverbend Middle School on Sunday. After school Monday, a teacher found a bag of “training weed” that was forgotten in a classroom cabinet.
Munro was disciplined, but he is back on the job. The department has new protocols for future trainings.
We’re told no students came in contact with the marijuana.
