A Paisley businessman was shocked after a cannabis farm was found “hidden in plain sight” above his town furniture shop.
Police raided the third and fourth floors of a building on Causeyside Street, above Lara-May Sofas, on Tuesday (April 2) — to the surprise of director Ryan Hutchins.
“We were so shocked,” Mr Hutchins told the Paisley Daily Express. “You’d think you would smell it but there was no smell or anything. We have a seamstress working on the second floor and she never suspected a thing.”
Several plain clothes police officers were seen raiding the building, previously a Mothercare. It is understood a significant cannabis cultivation was discovered.
