Felde Fibres GmbH from Brandenburg is looking for committed farmers who would like to expand their cultivation of industrial hemp. The company specializes in the production of high-quality bast fibres from hemp, linen and nettle and uses an innovative steam pressure pulping process to significantly reduce water and energy consumption and ensure the highest fibre quality.
Farmers who already grow industrial hemp or are interested in getting into hemp cultivation can benefit from a guaranteed purchase of their harvest through contract farming. The cooperation with a regional buyer also ensures short transportation routes. Felde Fibres plans to expand hemp cultivation to over 6,000 hectares and offers support from a team of experts in cultivation and harvesting. Interested farms can still apply until November 15, 2024.
The company has already signed contracts for a cultivation area of around 1,500 hectares and is aiming to bring its first products to market by 2024. The new production facility in Neuruppin is expected to be able to convert 20,000 tons of straw into around 5,000 tons of textile fibres per year. For more information, interested farmers can visit the website or contact the company directly.
