NRW: €1,150 authorization fee for cannabis cultivation associations
2024-11-16 | The state of North Rhine-Westphalia has published a fee schedule for cannabis cultivation associations, which provides for a permit fee of €1,150. In addition, there would be costs for regular inspections, which would cost 93 euros per sample. The Westfälische Nachrichten reported that between 420 and 940 euros would have to be paid for the renewal of a license, which would be due after seven years, while the withdrawal of a license would cost 420 euros. The scale of fees came into force at the end of last week and already approved growers’ associations were to be asked to pay retrospectively. The Detmold district government has approved two growers’ associations, Düsseldorf three and Cologne one. Three approvals were granted in the Arnsberg administrative district and two in Münster. A cultivation association from Bielefeld is planning to distribute cannabis for the first time on November 29.
